Egypt’s Cabinet of Ministers Information and Decision Support Center has released a new infographic that includes the most important information on Egypt’s construction of one of the largest wind farms in the world, according to one of the agreements signed by Egypt , represented by the Infinity Company, with the UAE company Masdar, during the activities of the COP27 climate summit.
Work on the project will begin in 2024 and is expected to be completed in 2030 at a cost of $11 billion and a generation capacity of 10 gigawatts, equivalent to a fifth of all forms of renewable energy currently owned by the UK, which will increase the chances of Egypt to export more electricity to Europe, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Libya.
The Information and Decision Support Center recently launched the “Napta” application to provide the most important information and news on global and local climate crises, as well as provide a space for users to provide solutions and proposals to address the climate crises.
