SANDE: On Saturday evening, emergency services went to the area around Øgarden in Sande, following reports of a traffic accident at around 10.30pm.
A car crashed into the guardrail at the scene.
At 10.45pm, police tweeted that the car in question had skidded on a smooth road and hit a guardrail.
– Part of the guardrail is damaged. There is extensive damage to the car, but the driver claims he is unhurt. Bilberger is arriving to assist in the recovery of the car, police wrote.
Buskerud’s task manager, Trond Egil Groth, tells Drammens Tidende at 11.30pm that the driving license of a man in Sande’s late teens has been confiscated.
According to Groth, the car is in Holmestrand’s direction and will be recovered. It ended up in the oncoming lane before hitting the guardrail in place, he says.
