LIER: The emergency services went to Ringeriksveien in Lier on Saturday evening after a traffic accident was reported.
A car had ended up on the roof.
According to Operations Director Victoria Hillveg, the accident occurred midway between Tranby and Lierbyen.
At 19.32 the carabinieri write that the car must be off the road and the traffic is proceeding at reduced speed.
About ten minutes later, the carabinieri inform that the driver of the car, a man in his thirties, has been taken to the emergency room by ambulance. There must be no suspicion of drink driving.
– Police direct traffic and interview witnesses while we wait for tow trucks.
I do not know the reason
Operations director Hillveg says just after 8pm that police do not know how or why the accident occurred.
– It’s a bit difficult to have a word with the driver, who is on his way to the emergency room, not the hospital he reported first. We’ll have to see what he explains in the end, he says.
According to the operations manager it is a car that arrived immediately after the exit.
– It is not clear what those in the car saw, we are currently interrogating them.
