Samsung Galaxy M04 launches with Jumbo battery and RAM

KOMPAS. com – SAMSUNG released a cell phone basic level the latest in the M-series line of smartphones, viz Samsung Galaxy M04 in India. This mobile comes with a jumbo battery and large RAM capacity.

Samsung M04 equipped with a large 6.5 inch screen with PLS LCD panel. The screen has an HD Plus resolution (1,600 x 720 pixels). For this phone, Samsung did not mention support in detail refresh rate screen or other screen specifications.

On the front, the Galaxy M04’s screen is decorated with bursts resembling the letter “V” or what Samsung usually calls “Infinity-V”. The fringe is used as a place to house a 5MP selfie camera.

Overall, this device is designed with a simple and minimalistic design. On the back, two camera sensors are embedded directly into the bladeless rear and are positioned vertically.

Each sensor has a 13MP setup for the main camera and a 2MP setup for the macro camera. Both cameras are accompanied by an LED flash. Meanwhile, at the bottom center, there is the wording “Samsung” in a slightly transparent colour, like Samsung mobile phones in general.

The Samsung M04 relies on the MediaTek Helio P35 chipset as the “brain” of the device. The chipset is accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. If you think it is missing, RAM expansion can be done through the “RAM Plus” function.

This feature allows the device to get an additional 4 GB of virtual RAM. So if you add it up, the total RAM you have can reach 8GB. In addition to RAM, storage it can also be expanded via the microSD slot up to 1TB.

The operating system (OS) running is Android 12 and is coated with the OneUI interface, the version of which is not specified. As mentioned above, the Galaxy M04 will receive two years of OS updates, this indicates that the Galaxy M04 will receive an update from Android 14 in the future.

The Samsung Galaxy M04 is supported by a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAH with a power output of 10 watts. Other support features include 4G VoLTE network, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB-C, face scanner security system and audio socket 3.5mm.

The Galaxy m04 is available in two color variants namely black and green. In India, Samsung Galaxy M04 price is 8,499 rupees or the equivalent of IDR 1.6 million (exchange rate at the time of writing).

Galaxy M04 will be available and start its first sales in India on 16th December 2022. It is not yet known whether this device will also be introduced in Indonesia or not. However, Samsung has marketed the Galaxy M series model in Indonesia so far.
