The evolution of Máxima’s blonde hair

We know Queen Máxima of course as an eternal blonde. Sometimes her hair is hidden underneath one of her favorite hats from puts it in a casual bunbut the color? It always remains the same. However, Her Majesty also subtly follows hair trends. We see her vary in both color and hairstyle on a regular basis, so JAN thought it was about time we did an overview. Twenty years ago we saw Máxima more often with straight hair than curly hair, today it’s the other way around. Shortly before her marriage to Willem-Alexander, her hair was naturally warm blonde. Her hair was cut very straight and she wore it in a narrow side parting.

A pony! This is undoubtedly the boldest hairstyle Máxima has ever done. You certainly can have it, but today we’d rather try it anyway curtain bursts from baby bangs to Katie Holmes to go.

Hair that falls just past the shoulders; it was perhaps the shortest haircut we’ve seen Máxima with in recent years. And then the color, tall blond! We see this color a lot these days – although it never goes out of style – and it looked great on Máxima at the time, too.

Over the years, 2011’s tall blonde shades have given way Shadow points with a cooler undertone. The whole thing looks matte and makes her skin glow (just like this blush, by the way). For people with thin hair — not that Máxima has it — low lights are often a good idea too, because you can create depth with them, which makes the hair look fuller.

Let’s go back to the blonde emphasizes! This time in combination with slightly more different shades, making the natural growth less visible.

Máxima’s hair is naturally darker at the roots. Kind of a salt and pepper color, you might say. By blending warm blonde shades like honey and caramel through the hair, it still creates warmth and the hairstyle remains easy to maintain. Very useful if you have to attend many events like Máxima.
