FRENCH SAINTS win X Factor 2022!

We had understood that the FRENCH SAINTS had talent to spare and that originality was their distinctive trait since the Auditions, when they brought their unpublished work to the X Factor 2022 stage, entitled “It’s not that bad”, immediately obtaining the unanimous consent of the judges and the public.

Their judge and mentor Rkomi wanted them on his Live Show Roster after hearing their beautiful covers of “A street kid” of I Corvi, at Bootcamps, and of “What a fantastic story life is” by Antonello Venditti, during the Last Call.

The mind-blowing duo, consisting of Alessandro De Santis
(lead vocals, guitar and ukulele) e Mario French (choirs, keyboards, synthesizers and electric bass), offers with his music a vision of the world in which reality is filtered by a “colored cynicism”, with a gaze in constant oscillation between the collective vital impulse and the need for self-isolation. All with an emphasis that today’s twenty-somethings have in common with some great poets of the past.

THE FRENCH SAINTS made us dance, excite, sing and dream, challenging ourselves with covers of all kindsranging from Italian to English, from cult songs to more recent ones, without never let your guard down a moment.

During their journey on X Factor they have always shown that they are capable of experience without fear of stepping out of your comfort zone.

The rock of their cover of “Heavy cross / Obstruction of control“, the introspection of their wonderful version of “Creeping” by Radiohead, the irony and sensuality exalted to the maximum with the cover of “Ti voglio” by Ornella Vanoni, the silent explosion enclosed in their unreleased work, the melancholy transmitted with “Somebody That I Used To Know” by Gotye, are just some examples of theirs ability to interpreted wisely and in a completely personal way different musical styles.

Congratulations guys, enjoy the well deserved victory!
