Gasoline price at lowest level since December last year

From Saturday it will be more convenient to fill up with petrol again. This is evident from the new tariffs published on Friday by the Federal Public Service Economy.

The maximum price of petrol 95 (E10) drops by 6.7 cents to 1,683 euros per litre. This brings the price to its lowest level since 30 December 2021, when a liter could not cost more than 1,667 euros.

In mid-June, the price of 95 petrol reached a record figure of 2,155 euros per litre, mainly due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Back then there was also a reduction in excise duties which has now been completely eliminated by the cliquet system.

For 98 petrol (E5), the price dropped by 8 cents on Saturday to 1,872 euros per litre. This is the lowest level since mid-April, when a discount was still in effect. The price peaked at 2,402 euros per liter in early June.
