Bayonetta Origins is confirmed to release in March 2023 on the Nintendo Switch

The new game in the series promises to bring very different gameplay elements

Platinum Games surprised many of its fans last Thursday night (8) by announcing Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon during The Game Awards 2022. Not only does the game have a very different visual style and gameplay from the rest of the series, but it already has a very close release date: on March 23, 2023.

The new action-adventure game promises explore the origins of the main character and the circumstances that led the young Cereza to become the Bayonet that we know. According to the official description shared by the developer, the player will have the Cheshire Demon as a companion and will aim to ward off fairies and their influences.

Bayonetta Origins is a Switch exclusive

As with the other games in the series, Bayonetta Origins will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive release🇧🇷 Although the rights to the franchise belong to SEGA, since the second episode Mario’s house has been in charge of financing all projects related to the character.

The same will happen with the new game which, despite being very close to arriving in stores, has not yet revealed many details. From what can be seen in the announcement trailer, it should assume a top-down camera angle, while at the same time should focus more on using summons to fight enemies.

Bayonetta Origins announcement emerges just over a month after the latest installment in the franchise arrived🇧🇷 Released on October 28, Bayonet 3 kept the show’s focus on fast-paced action, banking on a story that introduces new characters and concepts, many of which ended up not appealing to some longtime fans.
