Elon Musk, lawsuit | Lawsuits are waving after Elon Musk’s Twitter resignation

– It is very worrying that the richest man in the world thinks he can trample on workers’ rights and should not follow the law. We intend to hold him accountable, says attorney Shannon Liss-Riordan.

He leads one of the cases against Twitter, in which the crux is that employees feel that they have not received the severance pay they were promised before Musk took over. This includes bonuses and option deals made to entice people to stay with the company.

Others have sued after Musk’s blunt ultimatum to join his hard work schedule or quit with three months’ back pay. Lawyers believe this is a mass layoff disguised as something else to circumvent California law which, among other things, requires employers to give 60 days notice of such cuts.

Several employees are also battling Musk’s dislike of home offices. Employees with disabilities and health problems believe that the obligation to return to the office is discriminatory.

In addition to a growing number of lawsuits and arbitration requests following the layoffs, San Francisco authorities have received a complaint about illegally converting offices into bedrooms so employees can sleep at work. The Municipality has notified an inspection of the premises.
