Celine Dion Says She Has ‘Stiff Person Syndrome’

“Stiff man syndrome” is a rare disease of the central nervous system. The patient’s main symptom is stiffness and tension in the trunk and proximal extremities, especially the muscles of the abdomen and lower back. Celine Dion has postponed concerts for health reasons many times in the past, saying she has long suffered from persistent muscle spasms.
