List of the 50 richest people in Indonesia 2022 Forbes version Page all

KOMPAS. comForbes repost list the richest man in Indonesia in 2022. In its latest report, Forbes lists the collective wealth of 50 Indonesia’s richest man reached 180 billion US dollars or the equivalent of Rp. 2.808 trillion.

This value increased by 11% compared to 2021 by 162 billion US dollars or the equivalent of Rp 2.527 trillion.

As quoted by Forbes, the net worth of 22 Indonesian tycoons has increased. One of the factors contributing to the increase in wealth of Indonesian tycoons is the rising prices of export goods.

So the Indonesian economy, which recorded a 3.7% increase in 2021 and is expected to grow 5.3% in 2022, will also increase their wealth.

Forbes noted that the Hartono brothers still rank first on the list of Indonesia’s richest people in 2022.

It has been recorded that the total wealth of R. Budi Hartono and Michael Hartono is 47.7 billion US dollars or Rp 744.12 trillion. This value increased by 5.1 billion compared to 2021.

One reason for the wealth of these two brothers is the IPO of e-commerce giant Blibli’s parent company, Global Digital Niaga in November. This IPO managed to raise funds of 510 million US dollars or the equivalent of 8 trillion rupees.

In addition, rising global coal prices have also brought blessings to tycoon Low Tuck Kwong.

The owner of Bayan Resources is ranked as the second richest person in Indonesia with a net worth of US$12.1 billion or Rp.188.76 trillion.

Low Tuck Kwong’s wealth has nearly quintupled from $2.55 billion in 2021. Low was also featured on the cover of the December issue of Forbes Asia magazine.

Meanwhile, the Widjaja family of the Sinar Mas conglomerate has slipped to third place among Indonesia’s richest people.

However, the revival of the paper business of the Sinar Mas group has helped to increase their wealth from US$1.1 billion (Rp 39.8 trillion) to US$7.5 billion (Rp 117.1 trillion).

The total wealth of the Widjaja family is recorded at US$10.8 billion or Rp 168.48 trillion.

In the order of the fourth richest person in Indonesia, is Sri Prakash Lohia of Indorama Corp. His wealth increased by US$1.5 billion (Rp 23.4 trillion) to US$7.7 billion ( Rp 120.2 trillion).

Then in fifth position is Anthoni Salim of Salim Group with a net worth of US$7.5 billion or Rp 117 trillion equivalent.
