Berlin – The president of the SPD, Lars Klingbeil, has called on German companies to reconsider their trade policies with China. “The German economy now has to look very specifically at how to reduce its dependence on China,” said Klingbeil of the “Rheinische Post” (Thursday edition).
“It’s about diversification.” The Social Democrat is also concerned about Joe Biden’s industrial policy. “The United States is launching an anti-inflation program that is intended to bring jobs back to America from China and Europe,” Klingbeil said. “It’s clearly at our expense. That’s not how friends should treat each other.”
