Forbes released a list of Indonesia’s richest people in 2022. In that list, Hartono Brothers still number one on the list the richest man in Indonesia.
To collect ForbesOn Thursday (8/12), the total assets of Budi and Michael Hartono were recorded at US$47.7 billion or IDR 744.12 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of IDR 15,600 per US dollar).
One of the reasons the brothers’ net worth has increased is the IPO of Blibli’s parent company, Global Digital Niaga, which earned IDR 8 trillion last November.
Overall, Forbes noted that the total collective wealth of Indonesia’s 50 richest people was $180 billion or Rs. 2.811 trillion. The figure is up from $162 billion last year.
Below is a list of the 10 richest people in Indonesia according to Forbes:
1. The Hartono brothers
The total wealth of Budi and Michael Hartono was recorded at US$47.7 billion or IDR744.12 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of IDR15,600 per US dollar)
2. Bass Tuck Kwong
Low Tuck Kwong’s total wealth reaches 12.1 billion US dollars (188.76 trillion rupees). The wealth of the owner of Bayan Resource has increased almost fivefold since last year thanks to soaring coal prices in the midst of the crisis.
3. The Widjaya family
They occupy the third position with total wealth of US$10.8 billion (Rp. 168.48 trillion). The rank of Sinar Mas Group clan has dropped by 1 rank from before.
4. Sri Prakash Lohia
Sri’s wealth was recorded to be US$7.7 billion (Rp. 120.12 trillion)
5. Antonio Salim
Anthony’s total wealth reached 7.5 billion US dollars (117 trillion rupees).
6. President Tanjung
This head of Transmedia is ranked as the sixth richest person in Indonesia with a total wealth of US$5.2 billion (81.12 trillion rupees).
7. Prajogo Pangestu
Prajogo’s total wealth is US$5.1 billion (Rp. 80.7 trillion).
8. Boenjamin Setiawan
Sitting in eighth place with total wealth of US$4.8 billion or IDR74.88 trillion.
9. Tahir and family
Tahir’s total assets are recorded at US$4.2 billion or Rp 65.52 trillion.
10. Joko Susanto.
Djoko has pocketed a wealth of US$4.1 billion or Rp. 63.96 trillion.
