MADRID, 7 Dec. (PRESS EUROPE) –
The Círculo Empresarial de Atención a la Dependencia (CEAPs) has asked not to let our guard down and to be vaccinated with the fourth dose against Covid, to reduce the incidence of the virus in the groups at greatest risk, such as the elderly.
“It is necessary to avoid, as far as possible, the recurrence of situations of isolation among the users of the residences, and in general of our elderly, and allow them to return to normal life as soon as possible”, underlined the president of the CEAP, Cinta Pascual. “We relaxed, thinking that Covid has already passed, but it hasn’t,” she added.
This is why he appealed to everyone’s responsibility and asked that, following the example of the elderly and center operators, everyone get vaccinated and take extreme precautions to minimize the risks. “Vaccination against Covid is the solution,” she remarked.
The CEAP launches this appeal a few weeks before the beginning of Christmas and contacts between families are intensified because, while assuring that “the centers are much better prepared to control the situation”, it recalls that the number of deaths reported by the Health Service in all ages in the month of November add up to 869 deaths, 240 deaths more than in November 2021, when the population was still on alert due to the pandemic.
“These data show us that we cannot let our guard down and that the solution is in our hands, especially when previous vaccination campaigns have been shown to have worked,” he said.
