He said: “Next to the Orion Nebula (to its left in the photo) is the De Mairan Nebula, in the center of which is a huge bright star, and next to it is the Man Nebula which Corre, which is a reflection nebula and is characterized by its blue color.
Dr. Farouk explained that the Orion Nebula is made up of huge clouds of gas and dust resulting from the explosion of stars. Within the nebulae, new stars form when gravity pulls the gas and dust together.
He added: “A nebula is located in the constellation Orion, and it is a diffuse nebula located about 1,500 light-years away. It is the closest major star-forming region to Earth.”
He continued, “The winter months are the best time of year to see it when the constellation is visible in the night sky.”
