The video, released on social media, documented the moment in which the King of Morocco passed in front of his car while celebrating with a large number of fans, in the streets, after the qualification of the Moroccan national team for the quarter-finals at the World Cup.
The video showed the King of Morocco surrounded by a large number of fans carrying flags and chanting: “The Atlas Lions…Congratulations to us…Always Morocco”.
Today, Tuesday, the Moroccan monarch, King Mohammed VI, congratulated the Moroccan national team as they qualified for the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup after defeating Spain.
The Moroccan royal court said in a statement, reported by the Moroccan news agency, that King Mohammed VI spoke on the phone with the president of the Moroccan Football Federation, Fawzi Lakjaa, and the coach of the Moroccan national team, Walid Regragui, during the which he expressed his sincere congratulations to the players, coaching staff and team management, who performed their best during the competition.
