A major crisis between two artistic families caused by the Cairo Film Festival, after Egyptian artist Omar Hassan Youssef, son of famous Egyptian artist Hassan Youssef, came out to attack Cairo Film Festival head Hussein Fahmy.
The reason is due to the recent statements by Hussein Fahmy, in which he spoke about Hassan Youssef and the reasons for not inviting him to participate in the activities of the last session of the Cairo Film Festival.

Omar Hassan Youssef decided not to let these statements go through and to respond sharply, as he posted a photo of his father when he was young, and commented on it saying, “This is when he was satisfied with acting. You still loved me at every opportunity , Hussein, Fahmy.”
Omar Hassan Youssef continued the response to Hussein Fahmy, after which he posted a state image honoring his father, and commented on the image, saying, “How does the state honor an artist with the science medal and of the first class arts, and the head of the Cairo Festival comes out saying that the origin of this artist is not wanted because he forbids the art.
And he continued his speech by saying: “When you are appointed to a position like this, you need to go back and know the story well..because the State certainly understands it more than you..but it is clear that you are coming to the Compars and Hafez they came out with two disappointed words like you”.
Subsequently, Omar Hassan Youssef continued to post photos of his father in his youth to support him, and also published the words of lovers supporting his father against Hussein Fahmy, head of the Cairo Film Festival.
