The Ministry of Transport has announced that the refurbishment and restoration of the Alexandria Misr Station has been completed, preserving the entire archaeological character of the station and its historical design, under the supervision of the Coordination Authority of Civilization and the Committee for Protection of Architectural Heritage and Urban Heritage of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
The ministry specified that the internal atrium, the ticket offices, the external parking and the administrative offices have been built, the ceilings have been reinforced, the facade of the old station has been restored and all the platforms of the station have been completely built. which has become an ancient masterpiece that has completely regained its splendor and an architectural masterpiece that adorns the center of Alexandria.
The development also involved making the field in front of the station and the adjacent roads more efficient, as part of some interventions carried out in Egypt’s second capital.
