There was no consensus in the discussion between the Prime Minister and the Ministerial Committee on the Vizhinjam port strike. There was disagreement on the request to include local experts in the coastal erosion study committee and on the issue of raising rents. As the strike committee was looking for more time to make a decision on the government’s proposals, the discussion with the ministerial committee did not take place today. Tomorrow the negotiations for the resolution will continue.
