[上海 5日 ロイター] – Tesla Inc. delivered 100,291 Chinese-made electric vehicles (EVs) in November, the highest monthly number since the Shanghai factory opened in late 2020. Xinhua News Agency reported on the 5th.
It was up 40% from the previous month and 89.7% from the same month a year earlier. Increased production at the Shanghai plant, lower prices for best-selling models and incentives for Chinese buyers contributed.
Meanwhile, data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) shows BYD (BYD) topped the list of electric vehicle sales in China in November. It reached 229,942 units, including plug-in hybrids and pure electric vehicles, three times more than in the same month last year and more than double that of Tesla.
Data from China Banking International Finance (CMBI), a major Chinese brokerage firm, also showed that BYD overtook Volkswagen (VW) as the top brand for domestic passenger car sales in the first four weeks of November.
