Bioware releases a “movie trailer” for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf

Which tells you who Dreadwolf actually is, so little spoiler alert for previous games.

Bioware has released what they call an “in-game cinematic trailer” from the upcoming Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, but unfortunately it’s not as exciting as it might seem. It’s an animated cutscene that appears to be part of a plot overview from previous games, which you might see at the start of Dreadwolf to jog your memory.

In other words, you can skip it and stop reading here if you plan on playing the first three games and don’t want a significant enough portion of the plot revealed.

The trailer (below) gives us a quick overview of who Dreadwolf is, and everyone who’s played the game at least Dragon Age: Inquisition know him through. Because it’s probably about a certain elf lord who joined our adventures and ultimately turned out to have different motivations than previously thought. Beyond that, it undeniably appears that Varric is acting as the narrator.

Nice footage, but nothing we didn’t know before and a bit disappointing when people are now trying to see something from the actual game, like gameplay or at least something done with the game engine itself.

Good, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf doesn’t have a release date at the moment, but the game should at least be playable from start to finish in a rough cut alphaskick and is said to be released in 2023.
