While a mini-stroke is unlikely to last long, doctors say the risk of a full-blown stroke comes with it, so it’s extremely important to treat it right away.
Doctors say that the main reason for this is blockage of the arteries due to a blood clot.
A stroke occurs when blood and oxygen circulation to the brain is disrupted by a blood clot or blockage in the arteries, according to timesnownews.
As a result, brain cells begin to die, and if not treated in time, can increase the risk of death or the possibility of long-term damage.
But some of the symptoms of a classic stroke aren’t likely to last long enough, especially if a person has had a mini-stroke, known medically as a transient ischemic attack (TIA) due to a temporary decrease in blood flow. of blood to the brain, and these symptoms usually only last a few minutes until they complete.
What are the symptoms of a mini stroke?
Lowering of the face to one side.
Inability to smile.
Inability to raise one or both arms.
Inability to speak properly.
numbness
slurred
distorted speech.
Aside from that, other signs of a TIA include:
vision loss
Changes in sensation in the arms or legs.
Lack of feeling in some parts of the body.
What are the causes of mini stroke?
The main reason for this is clogged arteries due to a blood clot, smoking tobacco, and consuming more saturated and trans fats.
To reduce the risk of stroke, it is recommended to eat foods rich in fiber by reducing excess fat and cholesterol and increasing protein intake.
Eating up to 10 grams of soluble fiber helps reduce cholesterol levels, so it is best to eat fruits, cereals and oatmeal regularly to overcome the risk of stroke naturally.
