The instant messaging application WhatsApp recently launched a number of new features, including a new feature called “Message Yourself,” which allows users to send reminders or new messages to themselves. The new feature is currently in testing and is expected to officially roll out in the coming weeks.
After updating the app, WhatsApp users just need to click the icon in the upper right corner of the WhatsApp interface, create a new call connection, enter their phone number, then send a message and they will see that the contact at the top of the conversation list is you.
The new feature is also applicable to Android and iOS users. Users can send messages to themselves such as memos or to-dos. They can also benefit from WhatsApp’s cross-device sync feature and set notifications so they can see them on any moment.
WhatsApp will also use the label “You / You” as an identification. After clicking, you can send a message to yourself, which improves the convenience for users. Some users have welcomed the new feature, calling it a “necessary feature” that eliminates the need to install a Notes-enabled app.
