Good news has come to virtual racers today with the release of best seller by Embraer for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The news comes at a great time of expansion for the franchise, with the emergence of several independent and smaller producers for extra quality content. Until then no Embraer jet had a level of realism equivalent to those of Airbus and Boeing already released for the Flight Simulator, Prepar3D and X-Plane series.
Something was always missing, whether it was a technical detail, a well-made model or performance in line with Brazilian aircraft, but that wait seems to be over.
Aerosoft has released the launch video of the Embraer E175, the best-selling Brazilian aircraft, developed in collaboration with FSS – FlightSim Studio AG. This Swiss studio released only a small aircraft for the simulator and some airport scenery, but it was notable for its high quality.
Details like price, launch date and what will come on the plane weren’t disclosed, but the trailer it is striking in the quality (at least externally) of the casting. In it, the E175 is shown in the colors of several airlines such as the American Alaska, American, United, the Dutch KLM and the Japanese Fuji Dream Airlines.
While Aerosoft only showed the E175 in the video, the FSS website mentions the “E-Jets series” implying that the first generation E170, E190 and E195 may also be in the package – see.
It is worth mentioning that another E-Jet, from the Ouroboros Jets studio, is already in development and will be free. For now the E170 is in production, but the E175, E190 and E195 have already been confirmed.
The project itself will be open source and made available to the public after launch, but the developers have already confirmed that it will not have a high level of realism, and that in the first versions the aircraft will only do the basics.
