A man who had just bought 300 iPhones from the Apple store on New York’s famed Fifth Avenue was attacked and robbed on Monday morning, US radio station 1010Wins reported.
According to the outlet, the victim was targeted at around 1.45am, moments after leaving the 24-hour store and was punched in the nose as she attempted to struggle.
The 27-year-old is said to be a regular customer of the Apple brand as he resells phones through his small business, NYPD said.
It was as he walked to his car with his 300 iPhone 13s, stowed in three large bags, that another vehicle stopped level with him before two men got out.
The thieves managed to get their hands on one of the bags which contained 125 iPhones worth $95,000.
The investigation continued from the part of the New York police who have not yet published a description of the suspects or their vehicle.
