Cameroon beat Brazil, 1-0, today, Friday, in the third and final round of the group stage of the World Cup, “Qatar 2022”.
Despite the victory, the “Teranga Lions” team left the World Cup competitions, having reached the third place with 4 points.
Later in the match, Brazil coach Tite made the reserve squad to rest key players for their upcoming Round of 16 fixture, as the Cameroon national team looked for a historic World Cup victory.
The goalless draw continued throughout the original first and second half, and the only goal of the game came in the third minute of added time, with a wonderful header from inside the penalty area, with Vincent Abu Bakr.
The match referee, Ismail Al-Fateh, sent off Cameroonian striker Abu Bakr, after he celebrated the goal by taking off his shirt, and had a yellow card in the balance, to get the second, then the red.
This is how the Brazilian national team qualified, leader of Group G with 6 points, followed by the Swiss national team with the same number of points, after beating Serbia, while the Cameroon national team finished in third place with 4 points, and Serbia it was bottom of the league by one point.
