A 15-year-old teenager has died after falling off a subway car, in another case of so-called ‘subway surfing’ in which the person tries to walk on top of the train.
The incident occurred around noon Thursday when the young man was on one of the cars of a train on the J line in Brooklyn bound for Manhattan and at one point he fell from the train.
As he fell, the young man came into contact with the so-called ‘third rail’, which conducts the electricity that drives the subway system.
