Pöttmes/Schrobenhausen –The countdown has begun: On this second Sunday of Advent, the Chernobyl Children’s Aid Pöttmes-Schrobenhausen invites you to the parish church of St. Peter and Paul Pöttmes at 15:00. All interested are welcome.
The relief campaign actually takes place under the auspices of the DiakonieVerein of the Evangelical Lutheran Community of Christ in Schrobenhausen, but holding the charity concert in Pöttmes has a long tradition.
Tom Stotko on organ devotes himself entirely to the powerful and at the same time deeply moving compositions of JS Bach. The Neuburg trombone choir also sets instrumental accents from the gallery, with H. Schütz’s “Also hat Gott die Weltloved” and with a tender lullaby.
Two very different ensembles enter into a vocal dialogue with the gallery in the sanctuary: Chorissimo from the Tonwerkstatt Altschäfl, Schrobenhausen, strikingly expressive and charmingly concise, whether with the powerful “Coming of the Lord” or with the soft sounds of blessing .
The delicate and precisely trained voices of the high school singers of the Schrobenhausen high school are wonderfully sensitive and touching with their repertoire. The flute ensemble of the Schrobenhausen music school embraces a delicate sound arc from gavotte to gospel to gluck, sensitively accompanied by Tom Stotko on organ.
Expressive and with great interiority, Anna Eisenberger plays Bach on the accordion. Hermann Plöckl’s texts are meant to be food for thought and guidance, urgent, stimulating and sensitive at the same time. As always, admission to this concert is free, but Pöttmes-Schrobenhausen Chernobyl Children’s Aid is asking for donations for sponsored children in Gomel, Belarus who are particularly affected in terms of health and social conditions.
