The Turin Public Prosecutor’s Office would have initiated proceedings against the management of Juventus Turin, the record holder of Italy, who resigned on Tuesday.
The opening of a criminal proceeding was requested against twelve people, including the outgoing chairman of the board of directors Andrea Agnelli, his deputy Pavel Nedved, the general manager Maurizio Arrivabene and nine other people and against the company itself.
The Italian media report it. The accusation is, among other things, of falsifying the financial statements.
The club has reportedly signed secret deals with star players to defer payment of four months’ salary for the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons, bolstering the club’s balance sheets. The allegations are particularly distressing as Juve are listed on the Milan Stock Exchange.
