The Network Panel and the Mauritius office of the ACCA are organizing a blood drive on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 in Port Louis, from 9:00 to 15:00, in front of the capital’s Town Hall building.
This collection is organized in partnership with the Blood Donor Association, the City of Port Louis and the Rotary Club of Port Louis (Dean).
Anyone wishing to donate blood must present an identity card or passport (in addition to the blood donor card if available). People who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 at least seven days before donating blood can participate in this collection if they feel well. Similarly, people who have tested positive for Covid-19 but had a negative Covid test at least 28 days before this collection can donate their blood.
“Social actions are part of the activities that the ACCA Network Panel, representing ACCA accountants in Mauritius, wishes to organize every year with the ACCA official office. We also have great support from this official office for this event. This blood drive is part of our initiatives to help Mauritian society, outside the professional framework. Every drop of blood is important for medical interventions and transfusions, and supplies cannot be stored for long. We therefore hope that the public will attend our collection in large numbers, in order to help save lives,” said Tahir Wahab, chair of the ACCA Mauritius Network Panel.
