The talented performer started singing at almost 6 years of age. Today he has an enviable career behind him, he has worked over the years with many famous Bulgarian musicians-Grafa, Ljubo Kirov, Krisko and many more.
Maria Krasimirova Ilieva was born on December 1, 1977 in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, into a family of classical musicians. Her mother, Vanya Moneva, is the director of the “Cosmic Voices” choir, and her father, Krasimir Iliev, is the concertmaster of the Sofia Wind Orchestra.Maria has been taking piano and solfeggio lessons since the age of five.
After her family moved to Sofia, Maria graduated from the Sofia Mathematical Lyceum “Paisiy Hilendarski”, pursued her bachelor’s degree at the UNSS, majoring in “Insurance Business”, and a few years later defended her Masters in “International Relations”.
Meanwhile, the singer became the lead singer of the group “Vysoko”, where she took her first steps on the stage of the Club. At that time, she was invited to host two musical performances: “Only for you” – a weekly live show on CG TV and “On the Waves of Music” – a weekly classical music show on BNT In 2000, Maria Ilieva was invited by young musicians to form a group, as a result of which they founded the “KAFFE” group. In late 2000, Ilieva’s qualities as a performer caught the attention of her first producers, the Bulgarian Music Company (BMK), who offered her a solo career and a production contract.
In 2019 he participated in the seventh season of “Like two drops of water”, in the same year he was part of the detectives in the Nova TV program “The Masked Singer”.
In 2021 he participated in the third season of ‘The Masked Singer’ as a guest participant in the role of the Scarecrow.
Besides her music career, Maria also enjoys her greatest happiness: her two children, a 4-year-old son and a baby girl.
