Al-Marsad newspaper: Sam Brenton, the deputy assistant chief of the Office of Spent Fuel and Waste Management at the US Department of Energy, was arrested for stealing a bag of women’s clothing.
Passenger, Vera Bradley, filed a criminal complaint on Oct. 26 alleging that Brenton stole her $2,325 purse from the baggage cart at the Minneapolis airport on Sept. 16, according to “Fox News.” Brenton arrived from Washington that day.
Officers reviewed surveillance video and identified Brenton reaching for the purse and then removed the tag identifying the purse’s owner. Law enforcement also noted that Brenton used the purse on at least two other trips to DC , DC, on September 18 and October. 9.
Brenton denied stealing anything when police officers called him to discuss the incident, as he still had his purse.
