Some Norwegian artists have canceled some of their scheduled Christmas concerts. The reason is low ticket sales, writes TV 2.
Among those who have canceled the Christmas concerts are Elisabeth “Bettan” Andreassen and Are Hembre, reports the channel.
As part of this year’s Christmas tour, which takes place in Trøndelag, Elisabeth “Bettan” Andreassen and Are Hembre were to give a concert in the church in Selbu on December 2nd. This was canceled, due to low ticket sales, he writes channels.
Even though the planned concert has been cancelled, Andreassen doesn’t take it too seriously.
– We all hear a little bit now. But we have three full houses at the Britannia Palmehaven so we are so pleased. I’ve been working on it for 40 years, so I don’t think much about it, she tells TV 2.
Was Nea Radio who first reported the case.
Andreassen and Hembre are not alone in being affected by low pre-sales at some concerts, writes TV 2. Two of the upcoming Christmas concerts for Herborg Kråkevik, in Kristiansund and Drammen respectively, have also been cancelled.
Herborg Kråkevik has also canceled two of his scheduled Christmas concerts due to low ticket sales.
He had planned a concert in Kristiansund and one in Drammen.
Grappa Musikkforlag tells the channel it’s a shame they had to cancel two of the concerts.
– We are obviously sorry that we had to cancel two concerts, but at the same time we feel lucky. It gives us the opportunity to use the energy in the 14 remaining Christmas concerts with Herborg Kråkevik, and we had an overcrowded church in Ålesund the other day, which sold out quite quickly, says Desirée Molstad Myrvold in Grappa on TV 2.
