The draw for the quarterfinals of the SFV Stiegl State CupSt brought an internal league duel with SV Wals-Grünau for Salzburg Austria. The game is scheduled to be played on April 19, 2023.
As the club drew first, Austria would effectively have the right of home. For the time being it remains open where exactly the game will be played. The SFV stated the following:
“According to the implementing regulation, the lower-ranked club has the right to the home game, with the exception of the final. In the case of clubs of the same level, the club drawn first has the right of home. In case SV Austria Salzburg qualify for the Regionalliga West in spring 2023, the home rights will be transferred to SV Wals-Grünau.)”
No drama, the requirements should be clarified in good time before the appointment. The financial impact is also limited, as entrance fees are shared. In view of the championship, we are therefore hoping for a cup match at SV Wals-Grünau.
