A sambar who shines for something, will he still get applause if he gets slapped in the girl’s face?
SPOILER ALERT….
Patachone Imah Katholi is a new film directed by Bijith Bala. Grace Antony plays the role of Indu in the lead role of Srinath Bhasi. Indu is the most evident character in the beginning of the film.
Indu is portrayed as the only woman among the few men working for a political party. Indu who seems to be the main character of the play in the trailer but not so in the movie. Grace only makes light humor comments in some combination scenes with Harish Kanaran.
Indu, one of Dinesan’s friends played by Srinath Bhasi has a crush on Dinesan. Grace’s character helps Dinesh whenever he needs money. Whatever Dinesan and his family need, Indu will be there for them.
When I ask when I will pay all this back, Dinesan says if I don’t, I will marry you. There may be a sound he says add to the dowry.
Unaware that Indu is in love with him, Dinesan falls in love with another boy. While Indu keeps her love for Dinesh deep inside herself, Indu is with Dinesh in every crisis.
After being expelled from the party, Dinesan will be separated from the boy he fell in love with. Indu requests Dinesan to withdraw from the relationship which is not liked by the family and party members.
In the next scene, Harish Kanaran takes Indu to the back of the house and slaps her across the face. Harish Kanaran leaves saying the four words of friendship. Indu has become a new man in that single stroke, it can be said to be magical. Later, Indu will come forward to unite the character of Dinesan and Ann Sheetal who are separated from each other.
This scene makes it clear that the director did not go along with the idea that slapping a woman in the face would cause applause in the theater. Indu is more memorable than other characters in the film. It is Grace’s performance that should be mentioned.
Despite being a full-length character, Indu doesn’t seem to matter much in the film. But with Grace’s performance, it is Indu who stays in the minds of the audience more than other characters in the film. It is still unclear what the director meant by bringing such a character into the film.
