Noerr is in the category of the Wirtschaftswoche with the “Best of Legal Award 2022”. The bids have been awarded. The jury was impressed by the advice on the expansion of PreZero, the environmental division of the Schwarz Group.
The PreZero Group, active in waste management and recycling, has grown significantly in recent years through acquisitions and employs approximately 30,000 people internationally in Europe and the United States. During the implementation of the purchase and build strategy, Noerr was involved with a team led by Dr. Gerald Reger and Dr. Maurice Seche PreZero’s central advisor in all areas of law. Major milestones included the acquisition of SUEZ’s waste management and recycling business in several European markets and the acquisition of Ferrovial’s waste management and recycling business in Spain and Portugal in multiple parallel transactions.
Dr Gerald Reger and Dr. Maurice Seche accepted the award on behalf of the Noerr team. “We are very proud of our colleagues who have done a great job,” said Gerald Reger. “In a highly regulated environment, we were able to complete extremely complex and cross-border M&A transactions in a very short time frame,” added Maurice Séché.
