Sony releases updated version of PlayStation Tournaments for PS5 – Games – News

Sony is releasing PlayStation Tournaments for PlayStation 5. This is a competitive experience for gamers where prizes can be won by winning official tournaments in various games. The feature first became available in 2016 for PS4.

PlayStation Tournaments has been in beta for three months. According to Sony the revamped tournament system for shorter tournaments is easier to discover and registration is simple via the console. There’s a new user interface, match updates are real-time, and according to Sony, other improvements have been made.

The first official tournaments made available are for the games Guilty Gear, FIFA 23 and NBA 2K23. There are all kinds of prizes to be won. Also, there is one from December 1st to January 31st Win-A-Thon for the three games mentioned where players can improve their rank and have a chance to win cash prizes, PS5 console and DualSense Edge controller.
