In an interview with «Good morning CC» he tells Smith he’s prepared some will be critical of him when he returns to the limelight after the violent incident in March.

– I can understand if someone is not ready for this. And I respect that, and they should have the time they need. But I hope my actions don’t hurt my team, she says.

– A terrible evening

In connection with the new film, Will Smith was also a talk show host for the first time since the Oscars.

He was a guest on ‘The Daily Show’ on Monday, where he told host Trevor Noah (38) what was going through his mind when he went up and hit Chris Rock.

– It was a terrible evening. There are many nuances, but overall I just missed it, she says.

– I went through something that night. Not that he defends my behavior. But there was a lot of stuff. Everything just boiled over in that moment, but I don’t want to be that kind of person.

While visiting the talk show, Smith does not hide that he learned a lot from the incident.

– We just have to be nice to each other. You know, it’s difficult. And I think what hurts the most for me is that I have transferred my difficulties to others. Now I understand what people mean when they say hurt people hurt others, Smith candidly shares from the couch of “The Daily Show.”

“Unacceptable and unforgivable”

As mentioned, it was during the Oscars in March that Smith regretted his colleague after a comment about his wife.

When Chris Rock was about to present the award for best documentary, he referred to Jada Pinkett Smith as “GI Jane”. In the 1997 film, Demi Moore plays a clean-shaven soldier, and Smith’s own wife appeared with short hair at the Oscars.

Smith initially fought back with a laugh, before resolutely taking the stage and punching Rock in the face.

A few days later, Will Smith took to Instagram and he apologized for what he called “unacceptable and inexcusable” behavior..
