The Debutante Ball is back this weekend. Organized for the last time before the pandemic, in 2019, an edition attended by the twin daughters of Julio Iglesias, this unique event took place under the gilded ornaments of the Shangri-La, the Parisian palace where Prince Roland Bonaparte resided at the end of the 19th century.
Launched in the 1950s with a first French-American edition, the Ballo delle Debutante brings together young people of aristocratic origins for an evening of long dresses and tuxedos. Over the years the Ballo delle Debutante has opened up to other horizons. China, Italy, the United States, the business world, cinema… Thus, in this 2022 edition, we were able to see Leah Isadora Behn, daughter of Martha Louise of Norway and the late Ari Behn, sixth in order of succession to the throne of Norway; a Harper Pecklet alone Gregory Peck; Annabel room, daughter of the famous film composer; the freestyle ski champion Eileen Gu; the granddaughter of the famous James Bond, Natasha Connery; a Eleonora Ford Uzielli, descendant of Henry Ford; Oh Ignatius of Bourbondistant relative of King Philip VI.
Organized in collaboration with Muse jewelery and presented by Stéphane Bern, the evening was for a good cause, as the funds raised will be donated to the Association pour la Recherche en Cardiologie du Fœtus à l’Adulte de l’hôpital Necker-Enfants malades, and World Central Kitchen, the NGO led by José Andrés that provides meals to victims of natural disasters.
