- Aaron Donald: Defensive tackle out
- The injury streak at the Los Angeles Rams does not decrease
- NFL star Donald sprained his ankle
Rams coach Sean McVay announced on Monday that Aaron Donald may have sprained his ankle and will be undergoing tests to determine the severity of the injury. McVay added that the team still has no official information on his condition, but he hasn’t ruled out the 31-year-old could be out for the season.
While it’s unclear exactly when he was injured, it’s worth noting that Donald, who hasn’t missed a game since 2017, had 60 of 76 snaps against Kansas City. Lui recorded three tackles and a quarterback hit in the loss that officially moved the Rams (4-8) to last place in the NFC West.
Aaron Donald could be out all season
Rams quarterback MatthewStafford missed Week 12 after landing on the concussion register for the second time this season in a loss to the Saints a week earlier, while receiver Cooper Kupp has been on injured reserve since Nov. 15 with an ankle injury. The team ruled out Allen Robinson for the season ahead of Sunday’s game with a broken foot.
As injuries continue to pile up at the LA Rams, Donald, the three-time defensive back of the year, could be suspended in what has essentially been a losing season for the defending Super Bowl champion. If so, it would be interesting to see what the future Hall of Famer does after toying with the idea of retiring after last season.
Donald has 49 tackles, five sacks and 11 QB hits this year.
