Kochi: Under the guise of a fashion show, exploitation and fraud by modeling companies is widespread. Model complaints against Lizaro Modeling Company for being pulled off the ramp after taking money. The founder of the company was arrested by the police for misconduct with a trans model.
The complaints raised against the Emirates Fashion Week held in Kochi on Sunday shed light on the exploits in the modeling industry. The show was organized by Lisaro and Emirates Modeling Companies. The show was advertised a few days ago. Hundreds of models, including children and adults, in and outside the state have paid and registered. But most of them weren’t given a chance on the ramp.
The complaint is against Jenil, founder of the Lizaro company. Jenil publicly insulted a prominent trans woman model who questioned the fraud. Upon complaint by the model, Jenil was arrested by the Central Police and released on bail. There are few actions taken against companies that abuse them extensively, including girls.
