As quoted by detikNews, the announcement of KSAL Yudo Margono as candidate for commander of TNI was held at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta on Monday (28/11/2022). The announcement was made directly by the president of the Indonesian parliament, Puan Maharani, and by the minister of the secretary of state (Mensesneg) Pratikno.
“The surpres (presidential letter) we received indicated the name that would be presented to the DPR to replace TNI commanding general Andika Perkasa,” Puan said.
Puan said the DPR would process the replacement of TNI commander general Andika according to the mechanism. The fit and proper test for the candidate for TNI commander will take place at Commission I of the DPR.
“I will announce that the president’s proposed name to replace TNI commanding general Andika Perkasa is Admiral Yudo Margono,” Puan added.
