Scientists have revealed that the massive planet revolves around a star similar to our sun, and is only 15 million years old, and it’s a baby by galactic standards and old, but researchers are puzzled by its sheer density.
The scientists named the planet HD 114082 b, which they confirmed to be similar in size to Jupiter, but appears to be eight times more massive.
It’s common for astronomers to discover gas giant planets similar to or larger than Jupiter, but it’s highly unusual to discover a planet this dense and heavy.
