After the launch of the sculpture “Pinkpinkman” in May this year, artist Sofubi kaijutan again joined with famous Japanese potter Minoruhisa Ishihara this season to launch the second season of the joint work “HUNTERBOY”. The two sides exchanged works for recreation. Kaijutan has once again used Minoru Ishihara’s classic character design “Kokoruru Bear”. The chocolate brown peaked hat, combined with Ishihara Minoruhisa’s two very different styles to produce a new work, is very striking.
“HUNTERBOY” is a very good hunter. Even though he is very young, he lives strong in the harsh environment of the arctic and jungle. Beneath his cute exterior, he has a super strong heart. He wears a hunting bear. He wears a leather jacket to protect himself from the cold, and the Huskies next to him are his faithful companions. The hunting dog is inspired by the dog that accompanied Ishihara Minoru for many years, I believe that with his company Ishihara Minoru has long considered him as his family.
This season, the two sides bear two different designs, the polar bear and the brown jungle bear, with a total height of 24.5cm, which is a larger design work than the previous season’s pinkpinkman . It has been reported that the series will be officially released in the near future.
