Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs (Menkop UKM) Teten Masduki sacked two civil servants involved in an alleged sexual assault case in Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises. This decision is the result of an investigation by an independent team.
“After going through a coordination process with BKN, Ministry of PPPA, KASN, and also the results of an investigation by the Independent Team, we have decided to impose disciplinary sanctions in the form of dismissal on the perpetrators of sexual assault against two civil servants on behalf of ZPA and WA,” Teten said at a press conference at the Ministry of Cooperatives office. UKM, Jl HR Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Monday (28/11/2022).
Meanwhile, the author with the initials EW has not been fired but has been subjected to a demotion penalty. Another plaintiff, with the initials MM, received the sanction of termination of the employment contract.
“A civil servant, EW, is in the form of a one-year demotion to a lower position. As for employees with the initials MM, who are temporary workers, their employment contracts are terminated,” he said.
