Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim he refused to use a luxury official car. The official car is the Mercedes S600.
This was stated by Anwar on his Twitter account seen on Nov. 28, 2022.
“I would like to inform you that yesterday I refused to operate a Mercedes S600 type vehicle purchased and obtained from the Prime Minister’s Department (JPM) before entering the office,” Anwar wrote.
It is known, Anwar quickly made a breakthrough after taking the oath. Like the question of the refusal of the prime minister’s salary and the minister’s salary cut.
Anwar’s top priority is to restore Malaysia’s economy.
“I am grateful that today and before, the situation and investor confidence has changed. The ringgit has strengthened and the stock market has come back to life,” he said.
“Let’s focus now on the economy and do whatever it takes to kick-start (the economy) so that the well-being of people, especially the poor and marginalized, is protected,” Anwar said as reported by the Malay Mail.
