You would expect similar projects in major overseas districts, not in the Ústí region. However, if an enthusiastic investor and a good architect come together, a villa corresponding to Hollywood standards can also be created in the Czech Republic. Behind its appearance is the architect Petr Dobrovolný, who designed the entire building as a quiet place full of privacy, with only a green lawn and a body of water in the immediate vicinity.
Natural materials already appear on the facade itself, which is made with stone cladding. The irregularity of the gneiss surface or the terrain surrounding the building contrasts with the clean lines of the house. The building consists of two wings, one serving as the main facility for the investor and his family and the other featuring an indoor swimming pool.
The residential part consists of a two-story prism, which has taken on the character of a massive stone building. The lower building with the pool was clad in dark tin. The house also has an underground garage and a gazebo. The group of objects then encloses a generously sized wooden terrace and a hydromassage tub, perfectly hidden from the eyes of the surrounding environment.
From it the owners have a view of the surrounding vast garden, designed in the English style. There is a flower meadow, mature greenery framing its perimeter, flower beds, rockeries and grassed areas have been created on the sloping land around the house. All the colors of the garden are brought into the house by the large glazed surfaces, which interrupt the grandeur of the stone cladding and let in lots of light inside.
Furthermore, some of these areas can be opened and thus connect the inside with the outside in the summer months. An aquatic biotope and a gazebo with outdoor seating will also come in handy during this period. It also looks like a stone building, but it’s basically a wooden building.
Despite its size, the house meets the standard of low energy consumption. The power of a heat pump and two recuperative air conditioners is used to heat the interior. The interior itself combines wood, stone and concrete. The rooms are furnished with a minimalist spirit, also helped by the generous dimensions of the individual rooms.
