Last month we were presented with Ferrari’s new SUV, the Purosangue, in the location below Ferrari Finali Mondiali at Imola. The V12-equipped super-SUV has now been given a price tag, at least in the UK.
The new SUV will be sold in Sweden, but it’s unlikely to be a priority market. Instead, it is expected to sell better elsewhere in Europe.
A price to match
The Ferrari Purosangue boasts a 6.5-liter V12 under the hood that puts out 715 horsepower.
It’s comparable to the Aston Martin DBX707, even with the V12, which has “only” 707 horsepower.
Even the Rolls-Royce Cullinan has a V12 under the hood, but “only” with 571 horsepower.
The rest of the segment – made up of cars that Bentley Bentayga And Lamborghini management – has to make do with just eight cylinders under the hood.
However, the focus of the Ferrari SUV is more on the experience behind the wheel – just like the Urus and DBX707 – while, for example, the Cullinan is decidedly comfort-oriented.
In the UK, the new Ferrari Purosangue will start at just over GBP 313,000, or around SEK 4 million.
If you factor in Swedish VAT and the like, you’ll be dangerously close to 4.3 million SEK.
For comparison, the Urus costs from 2.67 million SEK in Sweden, a price difference of 1.63 million SEK, corresponding to a whole BMW i7.
However, it should not be forgotten that Ferrari has four more cylinders and much more performance.
A Rolls-Royce Cullinan starts at around SEK 3.5 million, while a Aston Martin DBX707 is about 3.2 million SEK.
Ferrari Purosangue is hard to find
Interest in the new Purosangue has skyrocketed and there are several interested parties who are simply not allowed to buy the car.
The controversial new model has an outstanding amount to live up to, and we can’t wait to test it.
