New Kalideres Family Puzzle: Mummification and Locked Room

A series of related results the death of the Kalideres family, West Jakarta, was obtained by the police. However, the motive and what killed the family has not been revealed until now.

At the latest investigations, the police revealed that the body of the mother of the Kalideres family had been found underwent mummification. The body of Reni Margaretha (68) was found in a locked room with the body of her daughter, Dian (42).

Criminal Investigation Unit Director for Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Hengki Haryadi revealed that the mother’s body had been mummified. The mother’s body was found next to Dian’s body.

“At TKP, Dian’s location was in the room with her mother’s body which was already mummified but looked well maintained,” Hengki Haryadi said when contacted on Saturday (11/26/2022).

Hengki Haryadi revealed that the bedding where his mother’s body was found was in immaculate condition.

“That means the bedding is in order, the mattress is in order. There is a cloth under her mother’s body,” Hengki said.

Meanwhile, the body of the little girl, Dian (42), was found next to her mother’s body. The condition of the room in which both found locked from the inside.

“Dian’s body was next to him hugging a pillow, and the room was locked from the inside,” said Hengki Haryadi.

When asked whether it was possible for Dian to care for her mother’s body until the end of her life, Hengki Haryadi was reluctant to speculate. He said his group was still thoroughly investigating this finding with a team of forensic experts.

“Later the forensic psychologist will conclude. However, our investigation is deductive, Dian is very close to her mother,” added Hengki Haryadi.
