In November, several platforms, including Linux, were found to contain two specific exploits: Open SSL 3, a network-centric cryptographic library, was the initial starting point. The vulnerabilities affected mail servers and open source VPN protocols such as OpenVPN. Network devices, container images, and embedded systems use OpenSSL.

The National Cyber Security Center in the Netherlands, (NCSC-NL) has listed software that may or may not currently be affected by recent vulnerabilities. The team’s ongoing investigation has uncovered forty-six software titles from a list of more than 100 affected devices, most of which are Linux software or server software titles.

The fact that NVIDIA is offering a fix for this vulnerability for users still using Kepler graphics cards is certainly great news.

If users are concerned that their software is vulnerable to attack and would like to view the full list of Cyber Security Investigated Applications, you can view the full list of OpenSSL software on the group page at Git Hub.
